Pippa's and David's house in Brooklyn overlooks Wellington harbour.
Jane's mum and Pippa's mum were friends in Christchurch and always stayed in touch. Dee was Anne's maternity cover. They had lots in common, both from England with 2 daughters of similar age. The families have met many times over the years.
David took us for a `stroll' from Makara Beach which is 30 minutes drive from Wellington. We had a great work out following David up the hill. Beautiful scenery and saw a seal. Home made cakes and choc at the top!
WW2 gun emplacements in case the Japanese got too close.
We then saw 800 year old Rimu trees at Otari Reserve - a lovely bush walk. This is David setting the pace!
