Afternoon walks at Bay of Coves

Our first jaunt was the waterfall walk.  We then did a circular route back to the lodge for a cup of tea and cake, very pleasant.

Our main walk was back up to the lookout view but via the ridge walk.  Some superb flora and fauna.  This tree is a Matai details below.

The flowers are New Zealand Eyebright - really pretty alpine flowers.

The walk was pretty vertical in places and walking poles were essential....the odd sitting point was well received but this one has seen better days.

Super views from the look out point, albeit on a cloudy day
